Comments on Mormon 9 v1-6 Moroni address unbelievers (v. 1). He asks them if they will no longer believe when they are brought to Judgement before Christ and God (v. 2). They will have no choice but to believe and will be racked by guilt (v. 3, 5) in God's presence, preferring instead to be with others who are damned (v. 4). So, they had better repent now while they have the chance to ask the Father for forgiveness in the name of Jesus (v. 5). v7-29 Moroni addresses those who reject the revelations and miracles of God (v. 7). His main thesis is that God is a God of miracles and it is not Him who changes (v. 19), but it is man who changes (v. 20). So, if there are no miracles it is because of man's lack of faith and not any change in God. Moroni counsels these somewhat religious people who reject the Lord's revelations to be wise, repent, and enter into covenants faithfully (v. 27-29). v11-14 is a parenthetical comment on how God performs miracles from the beginning of Creation to the End of Creation, which is Judgement. If this is the case, then how is it God no longer performs miracles when we are in between Creation and Judgement? A related line of argumentation would be that God revealed his word anciently in the Bible and the Bible itself says there will be prophets testifying in the Last Days, so why then is it so hard for people to accept prophets and revelations from God today? v30-37 Moroni knowing the typical response of the latter-day reader (v. 30), closes out his father's book with some details on how (v. 31-34) and why the record was written (v. 35-37).
